Welcome to SHE 2022

The Swedish Institute SHE 2022 Leadership Programme is a leadership development programme for women executives based in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.  Hosting 20-30 participants per year since 2017 it is also a growing network of professional women in the Gulf region.

For participants, SHE is an exclusive opportunity to harvest the latest theoretical and practical insights into innovative leadership. Through networking opportunities, workshops, panel discussions and interactive materials participants are offered the opportunity to reflect and mature in their leadership skills.

For Sweden, the program is a way to build relationships with key players in the Gulf markets: both companies and individuals. 

The 2022 programme will focus on advancing our participants as leaders in a VUCA world, managing in a fast paced work environment and changing societies. It will consist of two live networking opportunities and four different interactive workshops. For each workshop, participants are expected to prepare by taking part of an online information material

Applications will be reviewed by the Swedish Institute and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a video-link application interview. After the interviews a final selection of participants will be made. 

Please ensure that your application reflects your skills and interest in the subjects covered in order to maximize your chance of a place in the programme.

Applicants must be:

•Women based in Saudi Arabia or the  United Arab Emirates 

•Proficient in English

•Between 25-45 years of age

•In an executive, managerial or expert position

Leadership in times of VUCA

We live in a fast-changing and complex world where it is difficult to predict events and how they will unfold. 

In this learning module, we will introduce the concept of VUCA and why it is relevant for us as leaders. 

We will explore how we can navigate, manage and lead in the uncertain world we live in today.

New norms - empowering women in the workplace

Diversity and inclusion are two key ingredients in building strong teams today. Teams need a plurality of points of view, experiences and beliefs as input for making successful decisions.

When working in a changing environment, conflicts are hard to prevent. This learning module will look into how we as leaders can transform conflicts into something constructive.

Round-table Session and Diploma Ceremony

The program will conclude with live round table sessions with prominent businesswomen in Riyadh and Dubai.
